Since 1987, Music Together® has been bringing together families and creating communities through music! Experience the joy of music making with your infant, toddler, preschooler, or kindergartner.
During classes, you can expect to singing, rhythmic rhymes and chants, creative movement (from finger plays to large movement, and instrument play in a fun, playful environment. Activities are designed to be enjoyable and accessible for both you and your child, so prepare to be silly!
The Music Together philosophy is based on the belief that:
- All children are musical;
- All children can achieve basic music competence;
- Parental and caregiver participation and modeling, regardless of their musical ability, is essential to a child's musical growth
- Learning occurs best in a playful, developmentally appropriate, non-performance-oriented learning environment.
Just like language development, early childhood is a crucial window for developing basic music competence. Music together builds on a child's natural curiosity and enthusiasm for music to provide a firm foundation for future dance or instrument instruction.
